Our collective, composed of 15 young women from different socio-economic backgrounds living in the lower Himalayas, serves as our primary community. Our audiences are the interconnected communities we all are part of with a special focus on girls, women, gender-diverse people- mostly from rural and mountainous backgrounds.

Our journey of collective work spans 5+ years of organising, mutual sharing and holding space for dialogue, care, creative expression and learning as a young feminist collective. A highlight of our work was a travelling multi-media arts exhibition, Pahada da Lan. This exhibition is rooted in our research on issues surrounding mountain women and girls (including and beginning from ourselves), and covers topics such as women’s care and other work, silence and stigmatised topics, and the onslaught of modernization and capitalism on rural and mountain women’s economies. The stories are told through embroidery and painting on fabric using the canvas of a garadu - a large woven blanket as well as photography, video, sound, object exhibits and writing.
