Rafunaama is a platform for South Asian textile artivists: people who stitch not just to make beautiful things, but to resist and dream. We believe textile art has always been a tool for activism, and that the craft traditions of this region carry histories of protest, solidarity, and survival that are worth reclaiming and reimagining.
Our work sits at the intersection of feminist making, human rights, and participatory design. We work slowly, trust our communities, and try to build things that outlast us.
We gather to mend what has been torn, and to stitch new futures into being: futures of healing imagined, designed, and owned by us, for us.
